Responsibilities
Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a Records Management/Document Control Program Support to join the Information Storage and Retrieval Team. Primary focus is on evaluating, streamlining, and integrating information storage systems processes to ensure retrieval ability of information to support audit ability, proof of performance, and preserve corporate memory. Implement systems to ensure regulatory requirements are applied concerning record storage, retention, and destruction. Develop, modify, and test enabling processes and tools to ensure customer needs and contractual requirements are met. Consult with all levels of management and stakeholders in R&D, operations, and support organizations.
Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education and/or Experience):
Must have at a minimum an applicable Bachelors degree plus 2-5 years or an Advanced degree and 1-3 years relevant experience in electronic records management systems/processes. Strong oral & written communications skills required. Ability to take initiatives for needed projects and to provide work direction to others. Ability to interface with all levels of personnel to coordinate work responsibilities and solve problems. Ability to communicate ideas and plans both verbally and in writing to non-technical staff and customers in a helpful and friendly manner. Must be able to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills, with an aptitude for complex and detailed work. Strong service orientation to customers and to co-workers is a must.
Special Requirements and/or Training:
Desired knowledge of and/or experience with electronic records management systems - including metadata control, and oracle forms. Requires a high level of computer literacy and some programming experience. Experience with making information access as intuitive as possible for the "do-it-myself" researcher as well as familiarity with information push technologies, such as personalized search is desired.
