Catholic Social Services is currently seeking a contract part-time, 20 hours/week, Recruitment Administrator in EDMONTON to join our Children Family and Community Service.
The Recruitment Administrator coordinates recruitment and hiring related activities for potential employees. The Recruitment Administrator demonstrates a strong attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple demands simultaneously. The Recruitment Administrator is a supportive team player who works within a fast paced, dynamic environment while ensuring the confidentiality of personnel information.
This position is a one-year contract.
Job Summary:
Understands, supports, promotes, and adheres to the Agency’s vision, mission, values, and organizational ethics, and treat all persons with humility, compassion, and respect
Presents as a positive and professional role model and ambassador for the Agency in interactions with clients, stakeholders, and the public. Maintains respectful personal boundaries
Communicates effectively and respectfully in a professional and confidential manner with all Agency employees, and internal and external stakeholders
Provides a large volume of administrative support
Provides timely and accurate information to management regarding all new hires
Posts and/or advertises position vacancies in conjunction with the HR Service Partner
Maintains Applicant Tracking System (ATS) platform to pre-screen candidates and manage the candidates' screening workflows, ensuring that recruitment activities are consistently updated
Coordinates interview schedules with hiring managers
Participates in front-line interviews with Program Supervisor(s) and Team Leads
Provides verbal offers to successful candidates
Establishes and maintains approved employee complements
Updates and tracks employee complements to include any changes in the employee life cycle (resignations, new hires, transfers and employee changes)
Communicates employee status changes and terminations with the appropriate HR team members
Coordinates Student placements with all educational institutions
Assists with projects as assigned or identified based on the Agency needs
Completes incident reports, serious occurrence reports and/or other administrative duties in a precise and timely manner as per Agency policy and procedures
Attends and actively participates in scheduled team meetings. Supports team initiatives and helps to identify problems and suggest solutions
Performs other related duties as required
What This Job Requires:
Minimum of a Diploma in a Management/Business Administration discipline or equivalent
Degree in a Business discipline is an asset
Designation as a Registered Professional Recruiter is an asset
Additional relevant certifications or designations considered an asset
Minimum of _3_ years’ professional experience working in an administrative role
Minimum of _1_ years’ professional experience conducting & evaluating Targeted Selection Interviews
Minimum of _1_ years’ professional experience in the non-profit sector is an asset
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
Communication: Expresses and transmits information with consistency and clarity. Uses active listening techniques in order to effectively understand and provide feedback. Summarizes information according to the audience in order to promote engagement and increase understanding.
Critical Thinking: Analyzes and interprets data and information gathered from observation, investigations, formal and informal communication, reports, legislation and others in order to develop conclusions. Reflects on experience, organizational practices and processes in order to determine the correct course of action. Analyzes the internal and external environment in order to identify current and future opportunities, challenges and risks.
Decision Making: Makes concrete, well-informed and thought-out decisions that support the overall organization. Able to make quick effective decisions even when data and details are limited. When making unfavourable decisions that might have negative consequences, will examine the impacts and potential implications to ensure that decision is valid for the situation.
Planning and Organizing: Accurately estimates duration and level of difficulty of tasks and projects, setting out goals and objectives and work plans. Continuously adapts priorities and responsibilities in response to changing needs.
Problem Solving: Demonstrates the ability to break a situation down into smaller pieces to identify key issues, figuring out cause and effect relationships to reach an effective resolution. Uses logic and analytical methods to come to a realistic solution.
Teamwork: Works cooperatively and effectively with others to reach a common goal; participates well in group activities to foster a team environment
Satisfactory Security Checks including Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check (CIRC)
