Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity.
Assess and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that accommodates diverse learning needs.
Engage with children in various activities, including play, art, music, and movement.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and individual progress.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s development and any concerns that may arise.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
Skills
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
Experience working with children, particularly those with disabilities or special education needs.
Excellent time management skills to effectively balance multiple responsibilities.
Proficient in computer operation for administrative tasks such as record keeping and lesson planning.
Ability to communicate effectively in both English and French is a plus (bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply).
Creative problem-solving skills to adapt lessons based on individual student needs.
A nurturing demeanor that promotes a safe and supportive learning environment.
