About The Role

We are seeking a Registered/Enrolled Nurse who works well within a team, provide excellent customer service, and are keen to lean all about the tropical medicine at the Travel Doctor TMVC Canberra on a full time basis. As an RN working at TMVC, you will have the opportunity to work with people who are fit, healthy, excited and gearing up for international travel for business and recreation. You'll get the chance to learn all about travel, travel medicine, tropical medicine, vaccines, products for prevention of travel elated illnesses, and fine-tune your clinical skills in a team based environment. You will be at the forefront of travel disease prevention and treatment in an everchanging world of global health challenges. DUTIES

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of services including however not limited to:

High level nursing skills to work autonomously
Patient triage
Administering vaccinations and travel consultation
Monitoring & maintaining stock levels
Maintenance & sterilisation of all equipment
Compliance with the Department of Health & Human Services Protocols
General administration duties
Phlebotomy

Candidate Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Registered and Enrolled Nurses are encouraged to apply.

You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with:

Current First Aid Certification and CPR Certification – Required
Certificate in Phlebotomy – Required
Current Working with Vulnerable People Check – Required
Current Immunisation Certificate – Desirable
