Registered Nurse

Job Description:

Patient Assessment:
1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon admission and throughout their hospital stay.
2. Evaluate patients" medical conditions, collect health histories and identify health needs.

Care Planning and Implementation:
1. Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, addressing their medical, emotional and psychosocial needs.
2. Administer medications, treatments and interventions as prescribed.
3. Monitor patients" vital signs, symptoms and responses to treatment.

Patient Education:
1. Provide patients and their families with information on their medical conditions, treatments and post-discharge care.
2. Offer support and guidance on managing health conditions and promoting wellness.

Documentation:
1. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessments, medications administered and communication with the healthcare team.
2. Document any changes in patient condition or incidents.

Collaboration and Communication:
1. Collaborate closely with physicians, healthcare providers and other hospital staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
2. Communicate patient progress, changes and concerns to the healthcare team.

Patient Safety:
1. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
2. Administer medication safely, monitor for adverse reactions and prevent medication errors.

Discharge Planning:
1. Participate in discharge planning and coordinate services needed for patients transitioning out of the hospital.
2. Provide instructions and follow-up recommendations for patients after discharge.

Resource Management:
1. Manage equipment, supplies and medications to ensure they are readily available and properly maintained.
2. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the patient care area.

Required Skill Sets:
1. Strong clinical skills and knowledge in medical-surgical nursing.
2. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and support patients.
3. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
4. Ability to provide patient-centered care and demonstrate empathy and compassion.
5. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to adapt to changing patient conditions.
6. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.,
