Registered Nurse – Transplant unit
Permanent, 40 hours per week

About the Role
You will be working within a large Renal Service and be responsible for providing care to patient who have had a Renal transplant, working patients up to be listed on the transplant list and working with potential live donors for Renal transplants, you will provide this care for patients across the Te Manawa Taki .

About the Service
The Regional Renal Service provides acute and chronic Renal services for Waikato, Lakes, Bay of Plenty and Tairawhiti. This includes all aspects of renal care including Hospital based dialysis, Home therapies for both Haemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis, Chronic Kidney Disease and Renal Transplantation. We are the second largest Renal service in New Zealand.
About you
Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate
Minimum of 2 years Nursing (preferably in Haemodialysis/Renal areas)
Experience in Renal Transplantation
Demonstrate the ability to manage a case load of patients with complex health needs
Demonstrate excellent clinical skills and knowledge of infection control practices within the clinic setting
Enthusiastic and hardworking
Be hardworking and a team player
Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
