Security Senior (Relief Coverage After Hours)
$30.04 per hour Part Time

About the role:
The Relief Security Senior (Afterhours) will perform the role as Senior in a supplementary roster capacity. Shifts will vary and would be rostered during periods of the current Senior teams’ annual leave and to provide sick coverage. During appointed Senior shifts, you will be responsible for the security of our Main Beach properties by detecting and deterring potential issues. In this role you will assist the Security Coordinator in the day to day running of the Security Afterhours Shift.
Your day to day:
• Be familiar with emergency procedures in case of crisis such as fire alarm, bomb threats, ambulance, burglary, break and enter, trespassers, or adverse weather, and act as the communication point for the ERT response.
• Maintain patrol of grounds for the safety of the animals and the property.
• Maintain gate house operations, such as visitor/contractor access control, registering of vehicles, issues of keys to appropriate persons, bag/boot checks, and ensure that written reports are completed each shift.
• Escorting team members and assisting the delivery of cash to relevant business areas.
• Respond to incidents in park and provide assistance to afterhours team members as necessary.
• Contribute significantly to the implementation of training evaluation processes.
• Establish and maintain positive and efficient working relationships among security staff.
• Report all incidents within a timely manner.
• Communicate with the park’s afterhours emergency contact list for relative matters.
• Provide supplementary support to the Resort team when required.
• Liase with the Security Coordinators and pass on any relevant information for them to follow up.
What you’ll bring:
• Must hold any security licenses as deemed relevant by VRTP. This can include, but not limited to:
- Provide First Aid
- Security Officer – Unarmed, Crowd Controller, Cash in transit & Monitoring
• Demonstrated industry knowledge within the Security Department
• A professional attitude and display a clear communication style while consistently leading by example
• A focus on Health and Safety, enjoying technical challenges
• The ability to use your initiative to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Availability without restrictions within the roster
