Job Overview

As an Outside Sales Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in addressing the increasing demand for dependable electrical infrastructure across diverse sectors including advanced science, government, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, and data centers. Your primary focus will be to cultivate new client relationships and enhance existing partnerships across vital power categories such as Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Power Distribution Units (PDU), and Generators.
Key Responsibilities
• Achieve and surpass sales targets by engaging with prospective and current clients.
• Establish enduring relationships and develop new customer accounts through effective networking, referrals, and lead conversion.
• Collaborate with clients to identify their needs, provide tailored consultations, and finalize sales.
• Partner with the inside sales team to source materials and fulfill orders as required.
• Raise awareness of our service offerings and capabilities in both existing and emerging markets.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
• Actively participate in industry associations and events to broaden your professional network.
• Investigate new geographic markets and complementary product offerings to enhance our services.
Required Skills
• Strong technical foundation in electrical distribution, supported by relevant educational experience.
• Proven track record in sales with advanced prospecting techniques.
• Proficiency in CRM software and familiarity with office tools such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), and PDF software.
• Highly self-motivated, ambitious, and capable of following through on leads.
• General knowledge of office machinery and operational processes.
Qualifications
• A minimum of five years of experience in sales, especially within the electrical distribution or construction sectors.
• A Bachelor's degree in marketing, business management, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Advanced training in sales strategies and relationship development is an advantage.
