Position: Network Security Engineer - Remote

Work Environment
This role commences as a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home for the upcoming months. However, candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to Phoenix, AZ, as the team will transition back to the office shortly.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and support a multi-tenant environment, both in cloud settings and on-premises, while collaborating effectively with our 24⁄7 Network Operations Center/Security Operations Center (NOC/SOC).
• Deliver outstanding support to our managed clients, swiftly troubleshooting and resolving issues that may affect services.
• Implement requested changes, document workflows, and adjust the existing infrastructure as necessary.
• Uphold and ensure compliance with network security best practices.
Required Skills
• Strong foundational knowledge in networking, including an understanding of network topology and schematics.
• Proficiency in essential network protocols such as TCP, UDP, ICMP, along with technologies including HTTP/S, SSH, and Telnet.
• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities in networking scenarios, covering routing, access, and firewall configurations.
• Familiarity with analytical tools such as nmap, tcpdump, and log analysis for effective packet/session analysis.
• Knowledge of network ACLs and load balancers, along with other enterprise-level technologies (e.g., WAF, network IDS/IPS).
• Strong command of Linux Command Line Interface.
• Experience with tools dedicated to threat detection based on packet analysis.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Include
• Diagnosing network connections within our operational framework.
• Deploying various systems for packet collection activities.
• Collaborating with the SOC and threat detection teams to analyze traffic patterns and develop efficient detection strategies.
