About the Role
The Supervisor, Hospitality Accounting assists hospitality accounting management with overseeing the hospitality accounting team and daily operations including hotel audits, account reconciliations, and financial statements. This role is key in ensuring the property maintains strict adherence to the properties Internal Control Systems, which is responsible for assisting daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting for non-gaming revenue departments throughout the property. The ideal candidate creates a work environment that supports our core values, promoting integrity, teamwork, performance, recognition, mutual respect, and team member satisfaction. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with all laws and regulations, as well as Resorts World Las Vegas policies, practices, and procedures. Some additional duties may include supporting payroll service charges reconciliation, managing property specific programs, policies, and procedures, coordinating with hospitality accounting representatives, verifying completeness of daily assignments, providing revenue assurance support, generating and reviewing journal entries, participating in team meetings, and other job-related duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business, accounting, or finance.
Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
At least one year of previous Non-Gaming Accounting/Audit experience in a similar or related field.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Ability to effectively communicate in English.
Polished appearance and demeanor.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ability to successfully mentor and lead a team.
Works well under pressure.
