Sunterra Retail office team members work day to day to support the busy operations in our stores. The Accounting team is responsible and involved in many parts of the business including full cycle accounting, reconciliations, customer service and loyalty programs. The team also coordinates project work including Retail Point of Sale, Purchase order systems, Security and Payment processing. Professionalism, the ability to multi-task, strong teamwork skills and passion for food and service are requirements!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Responsibilities include but are not limited to
High volume Accounts Payable posting, payment and reconciliation
Supplier communication and follow up
Statement reconciliation support and investigation
Accounts Payable process monitoring; receiving and expense procedures
Purchase order review and reconciliation
Bank reconciliation
Communication with the Retail office, Stores, and Suppliers
Assists various Accounts Payable functions and Project work as needed
Cheque Payment Scanning, File management and renaming
Scanning, Filing, General administrative duties as needed.
Back up Reception, phone coverage and customer service as part of Retail office team
Various other duties and growth into additional Accounting responsibilities may be determined, understanding
that Sunterra operates in a very strong team-based atmosphere
Qualifications:
An ideal candidate will have the following skills:
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Accounting education and experience.
CPA or progress toward certification considered an asset.
Professional and approachable, positive, and outgoing
Accounting education and experience
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot, V-Lookup, Macros)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Technical ability and ability to learn and run various software
Willingness to work as a part of a team, across a variety of initiatives
Ability to work efficiently and accurately is a must
Self Starter with strong prioritization skills
Candidates with Post-secondary education and relevant experience are preferred.
