Seeking a highly efficient and motivated nurse (LPN or RN) to work alongside 1-2 friendly rheumatologists.

The current nurse works only Monday and Tuesdays which we can keep as is but are also flexible to increase the number of days for the next candidate. Minimum days needed are Monday and Tuesday with the option to also work all Wednesday, all Thursdays, and occasional Fridays during office hours. Most Tuesdays can be work from home.

Come help manage patients dealing with inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and gout in an environment supportive of providing training to an eager candidate. We have a very friendly work culture (lots of clinic lunches and celebrations) and have regular staff meetings to get employee feedback on how to better the clinic.

Candidates should be inspired to develop skills in rheumatology. If you are meticulous, easy going, and look forward to a fast-paced outpatient clinic, then you should apply.

LPNs will be offered $30-35 and RNs $40-50 depending on experience with opportunity for salary growth.

Duties (training provided):

1. The ideal candidate will eventually perform these tasks in an efficient manner.

Take detailed medical history (fast typing skills are a must)
Update electronic chart with medications and health updates obtained from patients
Perform vitals
Be ready to report above updates to rheumatologist (oral and written)
2. Other duties:

Provide disease and medication counselling to patients
Proof-read and fax out lab/imaging requisitions and referral requests
Call patients for abnormal labs when assigned by MD
Complete forms for coverage of medications
Prepare syringes with medications for joint injections
As assigned
Must have attributes:

LPN/RN active certification with at least 1-2 years work experience
Desire to become an experienced rheumatology nurse
High attention to detail
Friendly and positive attitude
Quick learner and able to adapt
Excellent communicator orally and written
High proficiency with a computer
Punctual and professional
Intention to stay with this practice long-term
Home access to cell phone, computer, high-speed internet, and webcam when working remotely
Nice to have attributes:

Proficient use of EMR Plexia (training provided otherwise)
Basic understanding of rheumatology terminology
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
