Position Description: RN

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Med/Surg Surgical unit team at St. Joseph’s Hospital. As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness.

This med/surg surgical unit specializes in pre and post op surgical patients, mainly GI/GU, trauma patients and any general surgery.

The RN responsibilities include:

Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
Professional accountability and development.
Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Qualifications:

Certifications and Licensures:

BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
ACLS Certification, if required by department
Nurse Specialty certification is preferred
Education:

Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM


Shift: Days

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Every Other
