Purpose
As a Room Attendant, you play a vital role in our Housekeeping department and dazzle our guests by keeping our rooms super clean and paying attention to every tiny detail. Your responsibilities extend beyond the physical tasks and include collaborating harmoniously within the team and helping guests whenever needed. Your dedication ensures that every guest has a wonderful stay, leaving with cherished memories of great hospitality.

Location: Peppers Beacon, 34 Lake Esplanade, Queenstown, +300
Salary: $25 - $27 Hourly rate
Contract: Permanent Full-Time
Hours: Minimum 30 to Maximum 48 hours per week
Minimum Experience: Minimum 6 months experience as a Room Attendant or performing similar duties. Ideally at least 4 months experience in a property of similar size.

Primary Responsibilities:
Knowledge of cleaning protocols, equipment, and chemical handling.
Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Physical capability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Deliver high standards of cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms, common areas, and workspaces.
Work independently and as part of a close-knit team to ensure guest satisfaction.
Follow cleaning protocols and disinfection procedures, using equipment and chemicals safely.
Respond to guest requests with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Maintain strong attention to detail and consistency in meeting brand standards.
Stripping and making beds, and changing bed linen
Maintaining kitchens, washing dishes and cooking utensils, and cleaning appliances, cupboards, counters, pantries and floors.
Shift times between:
Morning shifts: 8:30am – 4:00pm or +:30am – 6:00pm
Late shifts: 2:30pm – 11:00pm or 3:30pm – 12:00am (as required)
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience as a cleaner or room attendant is a plus
Your communication style is warm and welcoming where guests and team members alike feel right at home around you!
You have an eye for detail and work efficiently, managing your time well and taking pride in your tasks
You enjoy a physical role, navigating between rooms may involve using internal and external staircases and open pathways
You embrace collaborating with colleagues from various backgrounds
