Responsibilities
Job Overview: Sales and Event Managers are responsible for all aspects of selling, planning, and assisting with execution of events of all kinds
Marketing and promotion of services and products offered at Eagle Landing are the shared responsibility of the Sales and Event Managers and all other Sales and/or Marketing team members
Pay: Salaried position, plus sales incentive payouts based on gross sales for each quarter
Hours worked will vary and are defined office hours of operation coupled with event bookings and attendance required in accordance with them
Reports To: Lead Sales and Event Manager
Ability to problem solve independently while keeping within the structure and guidelines of the sales department
Adhere to dress code: Professional Casual on office days and Business Casual when working an event, such as a wedding
Maintain exceptional, 5-star, customer service levels
Respond to all inquiries within 24 hours and ASAP during working hours
Make 10 sales phone calls to potential clients each week
Responsible for planning and facilitating all details of weddings, social/corporate, non-profit, and private events
Act as central contact for all aspects of the planning, billing, and detailing of events
Develop and maintain client and vendor relationships
Record, track, and report on touring to booking ratios and other reporting as assigned by Lead Sales and Event Manager
Attain goals as set forth on a quarterly basis
Understand food and beverage pairings and possess full knowledge of our menus, to be able to assist clients in menu planning
Maintain communication with clients and catering team on all details 2 weeks prior to event
Increase revenue through proactive marketing, venue promotion and repeat clients
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to quickly learn our reservation system (Caterease) and other software programs as needed
Flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
Participate and represent the company at trade shows, open houses, networking, and marketing events
Ability to problem solve and respond to guest challenges in a friendly, professional manner
Committed to professional growth and development for him/herself as well as their team
Possesses a strong work ethic and has exceptional communication skills
Familiarization with local comparative/competitive event venues
Respond to and track inquiries, schedule, and tour potential clients, follow up as needed
