Job description
The Fantasyland Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all Hotel facilities are in optimum operating condition by performing preventative maintenance and being proactive in identifying and correcting any issues.
• *Primary Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring that all guest calls are responded to in a timely manner and escalating issues to their supervisor when needed.
- Performing preventative maintenance tasks and minor repairs on the various appliances and equipment in Fantasyland Hotel, such as kitchen appliances, restaurant and bar appliances, and laundry equipment.
- Performing preventative maintenance of guest rooms and meeting rooms.
- Conducting daily maintenance checks and communicating any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintaining A/C and heating units in guest rooms, as well as Hvac equipment and controls.
- Conducting minor repairs on all plumbing, electrical and Hvac equipment and reporting results.
- Ensuring that all work is logged into the CMMS.
- Ensuring that the daily maintenance log is completed.
- Conducting inventory checks and reporting when stock is needed.
- Other duties as required.
• *Desired Qualifications**:

- At least 2 years of previous experience working in a general maintenance role in a hotel or similar environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of systems and problem solving.
- Knowledge of all tools, equipment, and processes needed to perform work.
- Previous experience of working with a CMMS and a basic understanding of Microsoft office products.
- Follows established Occupational Health & Safety procedures and policies when completing tasks.
- Reports all health, safety, and security problems, and ensures all tools are kept in good working order and stored properly.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., as well as the ability to work at heights when required.
• *Terms of Employment**:

- Full-time (40 hours per week) and part-time positions (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-12:00pm) available. Full-time requires flexible availability including mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.

We are currently seeking a temporary **Sales & Catering Coordinator** to manage both our Sales and Banquet Departments. This role is pivotal in ensuring our guests enjoy seamless, memorable events and exceptional service.

The **Sales & Catering Coordinator** will lead, oversee, and inspire the sales and banquet teams. This role demands a balance of leadership and hands-on involvement, ensuring smooth operations and high levels of guest satisfaction. You will be responsible for driving sales, coordinating events, and setting the standard for service excellence.
• *Key Responsibilities**:

- **Team Leadership**: Direct and mentor the sales and banquet teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- **Sales Management**: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand our client base.
- **Event Coordination**: Plan and coordinate events, ensuring all details are meticulously managed and executed.
- **Guest Experience Enhancement**: Develop strategies to elevate guest satisfaction, handling special requests, and resolving issues swiftly.
- **Training & Development**: Identify training needs and implement programs to enhance skills and service delivery.
- **Quality Control**: Regularly review service standards, implementing changes where necessary to ensure top-notch guest experiences.
- **Financial Oversight**: Manage budgeting for the sales and banquet departments, including labor costs, supplies, and other expenses.
- **Policy Implementation**: Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to, especially regarding guest service and event safety.
- **Collaboration & Communication**: Work closely with other departments to ensure a unified approach to guest service.
• *Your Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a sales or event coordination leadership role within a hotel environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for team development.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in event management software, sales software, and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, holidays, and as needed.
