Logic Lumber is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Sales Desk Representative to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
The Sales Desk Representative plays a key role in supporting customers, coordinating orders and deliveries, and working closely with both the sales and yard teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email with product inquiries, pricing, and order placement
Provide exceptional customer service with a positive, solution-oriented attitude
Process sales orders accurately and efficiently
Coordinate special order products with vendors and suppliers
Receive and track incoming special orders and notify customers promptly when orders arrive
Work closely with the Yard Foreman and operations team to coordinate delivery schedules and customer expectations
Troubleshoot order issues, delivery concerns, and customer requests in a professional and timely manner
Maintain accurate records of orders, invoices, quotes, and customer communications
Support the outside sales team with quotations, follow-ups, and administrative tasks
Contribute to a clean, organized, and professional work environment
Qualifications & Requirements
Strong customer service and communication skills
High energy with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Professional attitude with a willingness to learn
Comfortable using computers, email, and point-of-sale/order systems
Construction, building materials, or LBM industry experience is considered a strong asset
Previous sales desk, retail, dispatch, or contractor-service experience is an asset
