Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to drive our sales efforts across the APAC region as an individual contributor. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling SAAS solutions to brands and advertising agencies, along with experience in selling media spend and pricing data to publishers and agencies in Australia. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent sales skills and the ability to drive revenue growth and market penetration.

You will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and closing prospects who are a fit for our solutions. In addition, you will be tasked with growing our business with existing customers by cultivating and nurturing strong client relationships, upselling clients, acquiring new brands within agencies, and serving as the main point of contact for managing and renewing all existing agreements. You will play an instrumental role in helping our clients leverage the full value of Guideline's solutions, given their specific business needs, and ensuring that we expand our footprint within holding companies and their agencies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy and Execution:

Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth for our SAAS Media Plan Management Software Platform across APAC.
Identify and target key brands and advertising agencies in Australia, building strong relationships and understanding their needs to tailor our solutions effectively.
Oversee the sales of media spend and pricing data to publishers and agencies in Australia, ensuring they leverage our insights to enhance their media planning and buying processes.
2. Market Expansion:

Identify new market opportunities within Australia and APAC regions; develop strategies to expand our presence locally.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis specific to Australia’s unique advertising landscape to stay ahead of industry trends.
3. Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within target accounts across Australia.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on our products and services while ensuring customer satisfaction.
4. Performance Tracking and Reporting:

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) tailored for APAC markets to track sales performance effectively.
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management, providing insights into Australia's market dynamics while recommending strategies for growth.
Qualifications

Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales, with a focus on SAAS solutions or media planning/buying in Australia or APAC regions.
Proven track record of success in selling to brands and advertising agencies within Australia is highly desirable.
Experience in selling media spend analytics or pricing data to publishers/agencies in Australia is preferred.
Strong understanding of the Australian media landscape, including trends, challenges, key players (e.g., GroupM Australia).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills tailored for local markets.
Demonstrated ability to work independently while achieving ambitious targets within APAC markets.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools relevant for APAC reporting needs.
Willingness to travel across APAC as needed for client meetings or industry events.
