Position Summary
Sales engineer is responsible for driving the sales in accordance with company's objectives. Sales team is main drivers of the business. Sales engineer’s role is to Identify new customers and applications to promote the business of the company. Being a brand ambassador and front face of the company, he should be aware about the complete product range and services of the company. He should also possess sound knowledge about the application of each product and able to provide right solutions to the client as per the requirement.
Responsibilities :-
Ø Solely responsible for the achievement of sales and operational targets as decided by the management.
Ø Preparing client proposals, quotations and annual rate contracts. Consult BSMs / BMs to obtain approvals and submit the quotations to clients on time.
Ø Responsible for implementation of sales action plan.
Ø Responsible for increasing the client base and revenues in terms of Identification and development of new OEM, large govt. organisations, speciality application users and end users.
Ø Maintain pricing policy as per company’s guideline.
Ø Ensure fast stock turn around ratio in consultation with management.
Ø Focus on liquidation of dead stock and coordinate with warehouse team for smooth transaction.
Ø Conduct market survey and present the analysed data to management for further action.
Ø Ensure strong domain knowledge of products and services and maintain awareness of all promotions and marketing campaigns, communicating to clients in a responsive manner to ensure the effectiveness of campaigns and promotions.
Client Ownership role :-
Ø Committed to provide a high standard of client service.
Ø Effective communication to client’s enquiries, queries, increasing value to existing clients and prospective clients. Help to solve customers’ technical query.
Ø Ensure in time query resolution. With internal resource the query should be resolved within 1 day and with SKF it should be within 3 days.
Ø Ensure in time and satisfactory services should be delivered to existing clients.
Ø Educate the clients on application and product range.
Ø Maintaining high level of customer satisfaction by providing right and effective solutions.
Ø Maintaining excellent rapport with the existing clients and ensure incremental business growth from the existing clients. There should be at least 30% of growth year on year from existing clients.
Qualifications :-
o B.E. in mechanical stream. Master degree in Engineering / management will be added advantage.
• Ability to discuss highly technical concepts with prospective leads
• Willingness to travel
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
·Functional Skill :-
o Knowledge of sales in industrial product is must.
o Background in engineering sales or a related field will be preferred.
o Familiarity with an industrial and/or manufacturing environment is preferred
·Soft Skill :-
o Ability to work independently while producing tangible results
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Excellent interpersonal skills.
o The ability and desire for sales job with a confident and determined approach.
