Job Description
Must Have
Administration of Redhat / CentOS servers.
- Knowledge of backup Recovery Service, Linux file system partitioning, LVM.
- In Depth Knowledge of OS log analysis, file system Housekeeping, firewall /Iptable , general trouble shooting.
- Knowledge of server provisioning on Azure and software installation / OS patching.
- Manage / Install / configure Squid Proxy Environment.
- Knowledge of Web servers.
- SQL Server Administration
- Layer 7 / Mediation Gateway
Responsibility/ Expectation
1.Provide technical leadership for 1st and 2nd line of Azure cloud operations teams based in Kolkata.
2. Interface with both internal and external stake holders e.g., Technical Support teams, Engineering,
Microsoft, Service Management and other onshore and offshore teams to ensure highest level of
customer satisfaction.
3. Coach, train, and mentor operations teams and other technical leads to continuously improve service
quality and drive operational excellence.
4. Lead and actively manage established Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request fulfillment
processes based on ITIL framework and Client guidelines.
5. Identify areas of opportunities and improve processes to exceed pre - defined SLA / KPI obligations.
6. Lead the team members in implementing process improvements to reduce efforts by focusing on
proactive issue prevention and root cause resolutions.
7. Lead Major Incident Process from a technical standpoint and drive associated activities to minimize
service disruption duration and propose mitigation measure to avoid similar occurrences in future.
8. Monitoring of key metrics, processes, workflow and reporting to actively manage, measure and
validate performance at the team and organization levels against strict benchmarks.
