Job Description
Role:Manager/Sr.Manager Department:Retail Sales
Reporting To:GM,VPDivision: Sales
Job Purpose:Ensure customer retention and profitability by hiring, training and measuring the performance of salespeople and establishing customer focused sales standards.
Job Requirement:
Qualification:Graduate-PG, with excellent proficiency in English and local language, well versed with MS office.
Experience:10-15 years with at least 5 years in similar role.
Duties Responsibilities:
1)Primary Responsibilities:
Ø Attains self & team target as set by the OEM & Dealership.
Ø Establishes annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses
and operating profit.
Ø Conducts daily morning meeting and discusses/reviews individual performance, customer concerns and their resolution, and adherence to the processes and policies as defined by the OEMand dealership.
Ø Helps sales team ASM/TL/SC close deals when necessary.
Ø Monitors salesperson productivity, profitability and performance.
Ø Forecasts goals and objectives for sales and monitor and curtail expenses on a
Monthly and annual basis.
Ø Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local
Regulations that affect new vehicle sales.
Ø Assists individual sales person in setting aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and
Objectives and provides them with the support to meet those goals.
Ø Ensures proper follow up by ASM/TL/SC of all potential buyers by developing,
Implementing and monitoring a prospecting and sales control system.
Ø Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of all new vehicle sales employees.
Ø Checks contract/order booking documents in a prompt and timely manner.
Ø Provides proper enquiry management on a daily basis.
Ø Analyses and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
Ø To ensure that information regarding new launches, promotional schemes, offers are passed on to the customers, team members and other associates.
Ø Collecting U.I.O (units in operation) data from work shop and sharing with CAM/Tele marketing/CRE, sales consultant for Lead generation.
Ø To define daily payment /booking target for the team.
Ø To motivate and appreciate best performance of sales person.
Ø To ensure that other allied business (used car, accessories, finance) targets are achieved and are keenly discussed by the sales person with prospective customers.
Ø To ensure there is no misuse of any facilities, outdoor visit’s (field visit) by the sales person.
Ø Provides effective communication throughout the new vehicle department as well as interdepartment.
Ø Process salesperson commission/incentive sheets.
Ø Recommends to the general sales manager/Head the new car inventory to be carried by colour, models and equipment based on a variety of customer and market analyses.
Ø Drives usage of digital tool kits (if applicable) by sales person for every customer.
Ø Ensure that showroom ambience is well maintained for best customer experience.
Ø To be well aware of stock data (age, colour, variant, and model) and carry out various productive means of liquidating the same.
2)Secondary Responsibilities:
Ø Maintains professional appearance of self and team.
Ø Finalises monthly roster for the team.
Ø Monitors the approach and performance of showroom sales person.
Ø To ensure discipline, punctuality and adherence to the policies and principle by team members.
Ø Identifying various means of generating leads.
Ø Ensures that display vehicles, test drive vehicles are in proper and well maintained conditions.
Ø Pre plan strategies for smooth and timely delivery of vehicles especially during festive seasons and there by contribute towards excellent customer satisfaction.
Ø Provides proper product and training resources for sales team on a regular and
Continuous basis.
Ø Prepare sales team incentives.
Ø Co-ordinates with the used vehicle department for trade appraisals as needed.
Ø Assists in the development of advertising campaigns and other promotions.
Ø Maintains DSA Sales.
Ø Attends all training programme organised by OEM.
Ø Maintain an accurate daily log that reflects all sales activities in the dealership.
Ø Reviews market analyses and sales reports to determine customer needs and
volume potential and develops sales campaigns to accommodate the goals of the
Dealership.
Ø Monitors sales promotion events.
Ø MIS reports-OEM & dealership.
Ø Updating of information in DMS.
