Role Description:
Sales Manager - Modern Trade/ General Trade (Greater Chennai Area, Full-time, On-site)
Key Responsibilities:
1.Channel Partnerships: Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with modern trade channels, ensuring product visibility and sales growth.
2.Promotional Strategies: Design, implement, and evaluate effective promotional campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team to boost product sales and brand awareness within the
modern trade segment.
3.Market Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor strategies to adapt and realign sales initiatives.
4.Product Launches: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and marketing, to launch and promote new product offerings tailored for the modern trade audience.
5.Sales Targets: Set, track, and achieve monthly and yearly sales targets, ensuring consistent revenue growth within the modern trade sector.
6.Relationship Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including supermarket managers, distributors, and wholesalers.
7.Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular sales updates, feedback, and insights to senior management, using data analytics tools to evaluate sales performance and predict future trends.
Qualifications:
1.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing,
2.minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and business development within the modern trade channel for the food, beverage, or CPG industry.
3.Proven expertise in formulating and executing sales strategies.
4.Experience in handling key accounts and fostering relationships with diverse retail partners.
5.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in deriving actionable insights from data.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
6.Agility to thrive in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
