Cement Australia is seeking a talented Data Warehouse Architect to join our high-performing team at our Darra headquarters, where you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our corporate data and reporting capabilities.
Your Opportunity
Maintain and manage the technical architecture of the Data Warehouse environment (SAP Analytics Cloud, BI/BW, Business Objects, and other reporting tools).
Convert R/3 ABAP queries to BW and enhance standard extractors.
Monitor, report, and resolve application faults in a timely manner.
Conduct Data Warehouse administration, system performance monitoring, and tuning.
Manage reporting projects and change initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with policies and legislation.
Develop and implement improvements, adopting best practice standards across the business.
Proactively analyse business reporting requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Complete application configuration and development within budget, timeframes, and priorities.
Solve complex business scenarios and support requests using problem-solving skills.
Provide training and coaching to business users on Data Warehouse tools and applications.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including business cases, design documents, and training material
What You’ll Bring
Strong understanding of major business processes in similar industries.
SAP configuration experience across BI/BW, Business Objects, Reporting Dashboards (BI Launchpad), and SAP Analytics Cloud.
Power BI report development and integration skills.
Knowledge of integration between Data Warehouse (BI/BW/BO) and other SAP platforms (e.g., PI/PO, BASIS).
ABAP program understanding and Java development skills.
Well-developed problem-solving ability.
Experience or strong understanding of SAC, BW on HANA and associated SAP environments.
Ability to develop business cases, functional/technical designs, and training materials.
Results-focused with a record of successful support, system changes, and project delivery.
Team-oriented with the ability to work effectively in multi-functional teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Project management skills (desirable).
