School Health Consultant

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Public Health Advisor to join its Adolescent Health Unit/OSH. As a Public Health Advisor, you will play a key role in promoting the CATCH program throughout the school community.

About the CATCH Program

The CATCH program provides comprehensive reproductive health services to students in low-income communities of color.
We strive to provide accurate and unbiased information about reproductive health and well-being to all students.
We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
Your Responsibilities

You will assist clinicians during medical sessions, help maintain medications, health records, and educational materials.
You will establish and maintain good working relationships with school personnel and promote the CATCH program to the school community.
You will maintain and monitor inventory of all educational materials and ensure adequate storage of students' medication.
Qualifications

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by twelve semester credits in health education or in health, social or biological sciences; or
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, and six months of full-time satisfactory experience in a health promotion or disease intervention/prevention program; or
Education and/or experience equivalent to the above qualifications.
