SCM Lease Accounting and Inventory Accounting

Supply Chain Accounting- ViasatKey contact to stakeholders across the business for inventory and leased asset related queries and reporting:Preparation of monthly management reporting related to inventoryPartnering with internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues and provide information related to inventory and leased assetsWorking with Sales and Supply Chain teams and overseeing the provision of net book value information for leased asset buyout requestsProvision of information for completion of year-end audit, statutory account audits, tax filings and other ad hoc requestsLeading on special projects regarding inventory and leased assets, including continuous improvement and automation initiatives.Driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellenceIdentifying areas to derive process efficiencies including streamlining activities, removing waste from processes, and the deployment of Robotic Process AutomationRegular review of all key processes to ensure internal controls are strengthened where required.Essential Knowledge and Skills:The candidate must be able to demonstrate advanced skills and knowledge at the depth and scope required for the position.Professional accounting qualification or equivalentA minimum of five years of work experience in similar accounting and management roles; with experience in accounting for inventory and fixed/leased assets specifically desiredStrong technical accounting skillsExperience of using SAP (ECC6) is essential and Blackline Reconciliations & Tasks is a bonusExperience in continuous improvement and operational excellence initiativesSolid appreciation of core best practice financial accounting standards, policies, processes & systemsExcellent analytical and decision-making skillsStrong people skills, confident and comfortable at engaging collaboratively in an intellectual and multinational environmentProactive individual with the ability to effectively manage various projects while adhering to deadlinesStrong verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated with excellent organisational skillsExcellent attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level of knowledge)
