We are looking to fill the position of Search & Registration Clerk to help with our continued growth and contribute to our future.
Please note: This position is seeking candidates who are interested in working 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. shifts, Monday through Friday.
The Search & Registration Clerk will provide administrative support to ESC’s customers in processing, organizing, and reporting search and registration results related to the Personal Property Securities Act (PPSA). Reporting to the Team Lead, Corporate Searches, you will be responsible for:
Assisting clients related to the ordering and fulfillment of searches including securities, PPSA, corporate searches, document filing, and NUANS requests.
Assisting clients related to ordering and fulfillment of NOSI Services including Homeowner Verification, Look-up of Land Titles PIN and Legal Descriptions, Land Title Searches, Preparation of Land Registry Documentation, and Registration of Land Title Documents.
Preparing and filing (electronically and manually) Articles of Incorporation, Business Style Names, PPSAs in Ontario and throughout the provinces, meeting customer deadlines.
Conducting preliminary Nuans searches and providing clients with accurate and proper reporting procedures for the suitability of the proposed name, meeting customer deadlines.
Conducting corporate, due diligence, and real estate searches province wide and providing clients with accurate and proper reporting procedures, meeting customer deadlines.
Performing other related tasks, as required.
What you’ll need:
Law Clerk Diploma or Business Diploma
At least 1-2 years of experience working in an office setting.
Legal related experience (PPSA, Corporate & Land Title Registry knowledge) considered an asset
Self-motivated, independent thinker who works well in a team environment.
Quick learner and able to grasp technological concepts.
Strong technological skills and able to grasp new concepts quickly.
Strong organization and multitasking skills
Solid problem-solving abilities
Please note: This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement consisting of in-office and remote work.
