Responsibilities

Develops work plans and conduct administrative, civil, and criminal investigations involving, but not limited to, fraud, theft, misappropriation, personal and property crimes, and workplace violence
Performs research activities, investigate leads, conduct interviews, and compose professionally-written reports that clearly communicate investigative findings
Analyzes data, control evidence, prepare documentation, and may make recommendations to justice system authorities
Investigates administrative, civil, and criminal incidents or allegations affecting enterprise lines of business within the Department of Protective Services portfolio; analyzes incident reports and develops action plans for investigative activity and process improvement
Interviews witnesses or subjects, analyzes crime scenes to obtain clues, reconstructs crimes and events, collects documents and evidence that further investigative goals and prepares and files detailed investigative reports
Serves as a liaison to local, state, and federal law enforcement officials
Effectively uses commercially available research databases to develop relevant background information; interacts with proprietary databases to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement relevant courses of action
Researches social media and other relevant information technology platforms to identify threats and develop leads in furtherance of investigative goals and threat mitigation efforts

Support Protective Services Initiatives
Contributes to compliance with federal and state security and risk regulations including Joint Commission, CMS, HIPAA; other state laws related to workplace violence prevention and healthcare security; and the organization's protective services-related policies and procedures
Represents the Department of Protective Services on multi-disciplinary work groups, to include Risk/Environment of Care; Privacy/Info Security; Information Systems; Audit; Compliance, et al
