SEND Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
Location: Haringey, London
Agency: Sanza Teaching Agency
Salary: £80 - £+5 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential for a permanent role)
Start Date: Immediate

Sanza Teaching Agency is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a diverse and welcoming primary school in Haringey. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with Autism. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in a child's learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with Autism, focusing on their educational and emotional development.
• Assist the class teacher in implementing individualised strategies to meet the child's needs.
• Support the child with social interaction, communication, and sensory integration.
• Help the pupil engage with learning activities, manage behaviour, and follow routines.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment, promoting independence and confidence in the child.
• Monitor and record the child's progress, working closely with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals.

Requirements:
• Experience working with children with Autism and/or special educational needs in a primary school setting.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children with additional needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
• A passion for working in SEND and a commitment to helping children thrive.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, SEN qualifications) are desirable but not essential.
