Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.

Monitor and report on key financial metrics.

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards (Indian GAAP or Ind AS) and regulatory requirements.

General Accounting:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Review and approve journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.

Monitor and manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.

Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and tax returns.

Taxation and Compliance:

Prepare and file various tax returns, including TDS, GST, PTEC & PTRC.

Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and assess their impact on the organization.

Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and tax assessments.

Financial Systems and Processes:

Implement and maintain effective accounting systems and internal controls.

Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the enhancement of financial processes.

Assist in the implementation and upgrade of financial software systems.

Provide training and support to junior accounting staff.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Supervise and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance and support.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and legal, to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Participate in meetings and provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements and skills

3-5 years of relevant work experience.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines.

Ability to work quickly and efficiently with an excellent eye for detail and accuracy.

Positive attitude and a willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities.

Excellent communication & writing skills.

CTC :- 25000 to 40000 per month
