Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the order to cash cycle within a multi-unit, retail environment. The role involves a heavy focus on optimizing and enhancing accounting systems, specifically invoicing and the cash application processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. The successful candidate will accomplish this through data management, reporting, and analytics powered by Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform, Tableau, Floqast, and other tools. This role involves working closely with various departments to identify needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
Essential Duties:
• System Optimization & Improvement:
• Analyze current order to cash processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement system upgrades and process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to further integrate accounting systems with other business applications.
• Data Management & Reporting:
• Automate data collection and cash matching logic to enhance productivity.
• Develop and generate exception reporting to isolate and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the various systems.
• Leadership & Collaboration:
• Lead and manage optimization initiatives, including coordination with stakeholders.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
• Think analytically about solving problems that save time and benefit speed and accuracy of month end close.
• Accounting & Compliance:
• Record journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Provide support to auditors as needed.
• Review and ensure accounting systems and processes comply with company policies, GAAP, security protocols, and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
• Education & Experience:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or systems analysis.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Technical Skills:
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, Power Platform) required
• Strong proficiency in accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
• Knowledge of database management and query languages (e.g., SQL).
• Familiarity with ERP systems, data management, and system integration techniques.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Understanding of current accounting standards and regulations
Compensation and Benefits:
• Salary: $+5,000 to $105,000
• Up to 10% bonus
