Description
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Norton, Massachusetts. This role is critical to our operations and requires a professional with skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, general ledger management, journal entries, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Assist with year-end audit preparation, including reconciliation of the general ledger and journal entries.
• Work collaboratively with the team to complete month-end close procedures.
• Use Sage 100 for various accounting tasks and procedures.
• Ensure accurate record keeping and conduct regular account reconciliations.
• Assist with maintaining accurate record of company's revenue and employee data.
• Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and record keeping.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Support other accounting projects, as required.
Requirements
• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Excellent knowledge of General Ledger procedures and Journal Entries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Must have experience with Month End Close procedures
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations is preferred
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
