Senior Accountant, Grants and Contracts
A large nonprofit organization is looking for a Senior Accountant, Grants and Contracts to join their team. This position will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of financial and grant accounting analysis/reports, journal entries, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Coordinate and maintain general ledgers and operating fund accounts of HUD companies.
• Reconciles bank statements, accounts reconciliation, and other reports required by regulating agencies.
• Assists in the annual external, Uniform Guidance, 440, and other sponsor audit process.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 5-10 years' progressively more responsible experience in grants accounting, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
• Knowledge of financial analysis and reporting, budgeting
• Intermediate Excel skills, computerized accounting systems
• HUD programming experience preferred
