Full job description
Join our diverse and talented people and work at the heart of national security, providing essential intelligence to the NZ government to protect New Zealand and its people.
About us
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is the heart of Aotearoa New Zealand's cyber defence. We fulfil the cyber security responsibilities of the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) | Te Tira Tiaki, and provide cyber security services to all New Zealanders - from individuals and small businesses and organisations up to large enterprises, government, and critical national infrastructure.
The role
We are seeking a Senior Advisor Partnerships to help us build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in New Zealand and overseas. If you thrive on variety and can bring a confident and adaptable approach to a dynamic and rewarding role, this may be your perfect next move.
The NCSC works with stakeholders and partners in Aotearoa and across the globe to share and receive information to help our country stay ahead of cyber security threats and respond quickly to cyber security attacks.
In this role you will be a conduit between the NCSC and our partners in the public and private sector. You will help us maintain our active engagement in international networks and represent New Zealand at global events and meetings. You will bring a strategic eye to our relationship building and advise senior leaders on who and how to engage, be it through NCSC or our Own Your Online brand.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, energetic and collaborative team that values strong relationships, great communication and a touch of fun. Your work will be strategic, people-focused and full of interesting challenges.
Why work for us
Alongside getting to work with other talented people, we also offer a range of comprehensive benefits which include:
Medical insurance and vision care packages
Enhanced employer contributions to your Kiwisaver
Generous leave benefits, including additional paid days off and enhanced sick and parental leave
Childcare allowance for your pre-schoolers
Opportunities for personal and professional growth and career pathways across the intelligence community
Great work-life balance
Who we're looking for
We are looking for a self-starter with experience in developing partnerships, who can take ownership to achieve organisational goals.
You will ideally bring:
Stakeholder engagement experience and skills, including with senior stakeholders, to build an effective partnership.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal with the ability to communicate complex information to a range of audiences.
An understanding of, or experience in dealing with international organisations in an information security context.
Knowledge and interest in the current cyber security and geopolitical context.
Experience with government agencies in dealing with international counterparts.
A self-sufficient, proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
If you are looking for a role where you can bring your partnership expertise, communication finesse and strategic mindset to the table, this is it!
