Job Summary: Assist Accountant and accounting Pod with processing bookkeeping (monthly updates) for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs, and limited companies, preparing monthly management accounts, preparation of VAT returns and, if required, preparation of tax returns and year end accounts. Adhere to deadlines as set by Accountant.
Job Title: Senior Associate - Bookkeeping/Year End
Location: Thane (West), Mumbai
Working Days: Monday - Friday
Hybrid: 2 days per week WFH after completion of 3 months
Shift Timings: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
CTC Offered: Upto 8 LPA (Subject to experience/last drawn salary).
Performance Linked Incentives of upto 3k/month post training.
Qualifications:
• Completed Bachelors/Masters in Commerce or CA-Inter.
• 3-6 years of experience in accounting outsourcing industry.
• Prior work experience in MNC and matrix organisation.
• IT/ITES or Accounting industry is an advantage.
• UK Accounting BPO experience is preferred.
Skills Required:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, Stakeholder and client management.
• The ability to prioritise workloads.
• The ability to take initiative and work without supervision.
• A professional and hard-working attitude.
• Experience in an environment dealing with small & mid-size businesses.
• Very strong accounting concepts, experience with UK tax laws, rules and regulations.
• Respectful, trustworthy, polite, honest, and strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
• Recording Transactions: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy of financial data.
• Year-end Accounts and Tax Preparation Support: Work with accountants to gather necessary financial information and documentation for year-end accounts production and tax return preparation.
• Software Proficiency: Use accounting software (predominantly VT and on occasion QuickBooks and Xero) proficiently to perform bookkeeping tasks efficiently.
• Communication: Liaise with colleagues to clarify bookkeeping matters and resolve discrepancies.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities in a timely manner.
