Senior Backend Developer – eCommerce Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer with a passion for building scalable, high-performance eCommerce systems using Shopify and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.

This pivotal role involves leading backend development initiatives, optimising integrations between Shopify and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, and scaling the eCommerce infrastructure to new heights. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to implement innovative solutions that enhance performance, ensure data integrity, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
• Shopify Development: Design and maintain custom backend features, data management solutions, and integrations within the Shopify ecosystem.
• ERP Integration: Manage and optimise connections between Shopify and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central for inventory, sales, and fulfillment.
• API Excellence: Build and optimise RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support frontend and third-party applications.
• Data Mastery: Ensure accurate data synchronisation, handling complex transformations and automation.
• Performance Optimisation: Identify and resolve backend bottlenecks to maintain a high-performing platform.
• Security & Compliance: Implement best practices to protect customer data and maintain compliance.

Required Skills
• Experience: 5+ years of backend development, with at least 3 years specialising in Shopify and ERP integrations (specifically Microsoft Dynamics BC).
• Technical Skills: Expertise in Node.js, Python, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• ERP Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Business Central APIs, data structures, and integration workflows.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
• Collaboration: Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities to work across teams.
