An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Partner – Human Resources to join the School’s small team of Human Resource specialists, known internally as the Employee Engagement Department. The team is dedicated to providing a full range of HR support services to all of our employees and developing processes and systems to enable effective and optimal HR service delivery.

The responsibilities of this role are varied. In a typical day you might:

Participate in an interview panel for a Gardener, Teacher, Chef, Marketing professional or any of our diverse positions,
Review the Enterprise Agreement or Award to answer a query about terms and conditions,
Collaborate internally on a policy or project under development,
Plan an induction or other training session,
Creatively develop a strategy to attract boarding staff,
Complete a proposal to pitch a new idea that you have,
Conduct a misconduct investigation,
Prepare a return-to-work plan,
Meet with a team member who would like to explore flexible work options or who is seeking advice on how to have a challenging conversation with a co-worker; and/or
Work with a Manager to plan the follow up session for their team’s engagement and wellbeing survey results
To be considered for this role, you will have:

Experience in a similar role, in a busy environment
A strong knowledge of industrial and employee relations
An ability to lead and coordinate projects
A strong understanding of organisational development and talent management
Experience in developing policies and procedures
A willingness and ability to transition between operational and strategic HR tasks in a dynamic environment
A positive attitude and an authentic, passionate, resilient, courageous, curious and compassionate character
Your high level interpersonal and relationship management skills, customer focus and ability to fulfil multiple functions concurrently and effectively will enable your success in this position.
