Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
5+ years of professional related work experience in a manufacturing environment
Must be financial/detail oriented, possess excellent analytical abilities while supporting internal customers
Must possess excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
Responsible for cost accounting policies and procedures, maintaining and analyzing standard costs for all areas of the company
Work closely with Operations personnel
Perform balance sheet analysis (inventory), standard costing, and complex special projects
Work under the supervision of the Manager of FP&A & Cost Accounting, develops costing methodology and standard costs for manufactured products
Design and develop cost and other accounting reports using SAP and related systems
Analyze variances in costs; prepares monthly analysis of expense items to identify any trends or unusual fluctuations in results and investigate, discuss and resolve such items with management
Analyzes all significant variances and provides business reasons for variances
Analyze all general ledger accounts as assigned at month end, including but not limited to prepaids, accruals and other financial statement balances
Prepare monthly journal entries based on month-end analysis
Reconcile & record donor fees on a monthly basis, including overall reasonableness review of fees and incentives paid to individual donors
Perform balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis, checking overall reasonableness and reviews/corrects any discrepancies
Interface with operational departments on a regular basis; provide summary of financial impact of operations activities on a monthly (or as needed) basis
Work with various department leaders and finance leaders to assist in developing the annual operating & capital expense budgets and monthly forecasts
Conduct an analysis of inventory accounts (to include, but not limited to, inventory balances, inventory reserves, inventory turns, etc.)
Check overall reasonableness and review/corrects any variances
Prepare and provide requested schedules to external auditors during interim reviews and year-end audits
Have knowledgeable of accounting policies and procedures, ensures operational departments understand and follow the policies and procedures
Assist in documenting policies, procedures, and controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

What You Can Expect To Be Doing

What you will bring to the table:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of professional related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Tier I ERP applications (SAP [strongly preferred]/Oracle/J.D. Edwards, etc.) and finance and office applications (SAP, Excel, Word).
• Must be financial/detail oriented, possess excellent analytical abilities while supporting internal customers.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• CPA or CMA certification a plus, but not required.
