Due to continued success and confirmed pipeline of work, we are seeking a Senior Cost Controller with a passion for numbers and budgets to join our growing Perth office to assist in the delivery of studies and projects. The role requires someone with a proven background in a similar role and industry to hit the ground running, providing insightful information to guide proactive decision making to drive the business to achieve the planned outcomes.
About The Role
Develop strong relationships across our study and project teams; engage with engineering; procurement and contracts teams
Hold accountability for EPCM and Capital Cost management; ETD analysis and ETC trending that accurately reflects the “to-go” scope, schedule and deliverables.
Accurately analyse and report on trends, scope changes and margin analysis
Maintain accurate cost control records regarding project progress, costs and tracking of change orders
Support in functional project controls manager in identifying and implementing value improvement opportunities
Manage and present progress status to senior management, highlighting deviations and risks
Involvement in compliance and audit programs in relation to project control policies
Interface and support billing team to ensure accuracy in invoicing (AR & AP)
Perform other Project Services duties as directed.
About you
5+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related field
Proven experience in Cost Control / Cost Accounting in the engineering consulting, mining or mineral processing industries
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Working experience in Oracle environment & exposure to EcoSys (preferable)
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at management level
Ability to think strategically while identifying problems and developing creative solutions
Must possess the desire to work as a part of a team and work with others to accomplish a common goal
