Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect with expertise in Data Lake and Data Governance to join a leading semiconductor client. This role involves designing scalable data architectures, managing large datasets, and enforcing robust data governance policies. The position is hybrid with relocation options available.
Position: Contract
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement Data Lake architectures for performance, scalability, and security.
• Lead organization-wide data governance initiatives, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• Implement data governance policies, including data classification, lineage, and access controls.
• Design data models to support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence.
• Align data architectures with business strategies, especially in the semiconductor domain.
• Evaluate and recommend new data technologies, tools, and platforms.
• Mentor junior data architects and engineers with technical guidance.
Requirements And Qualifications
• Experience:
• 8+ years in data architecture, with 3+ years focusing on Data Lake and Data Governance.
• Expertise in metadata management, data lineage, and governance frameworks.
• Proven experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data engineering tools.
• Hands-on experience with Data Lakes (Hadoop, Spark, Delta Lake, etc.) and big data technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT processes.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Data Warehousing tools (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Familiarity with machine learning and advanced analytics.
• Agile project management experience.
• Industry Experience:
• Semiconductor or other highly technical sectors is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
