Job description
Title : Sr. Data Engineer

Location : Remote

Duration : Contract
• Data Warehousing: Design, develop, and maintain data structures that facilitate efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval in an enterprise data warehouse (EDW).
• SQL: Proficiently create, debug, and optimize stored procedures, functions, and views to ensure data accuracy and availability.
• Python: Leverage Python for scripting and automation tasks, enhancing data workflows and processes.
• Data Modeling: Efficiently design data pipelines by understanding the project needs and creating Source to Target Mappings (STTM), Technical Specs with a scalable & performant architecture in Snowflake.
• Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality and integrity by validating and cleansing data, identifying and resolving anomalies, and implementing data quality checks.
• Collaborative Spirit: Work closely with cross-functional teams including data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Required Qualifications:
• * Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong expertise in data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Experience with Snowflake data warehousing is ideal. But experience with other DW tools like SQL Server, Oracle, SAP HANA will also be considered.
• Strong proficiency in SQL programming, including the ability to create and debug stored procedures, functions, and views.
• Experience with Python for scripting and automation tasks is preferred.
• Prior experience with data extraction & reporting on HCM data (ex: Workday, OHCM, SAP HCM) is a must.
• Self-motivated and eager to take ownership of projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
