Senior Data Privacy Lawyer

Our client, a leading technology firm with a global footprint, is looking for a highly specialized Senior Data Privacy Lawyer to join their esteemed legal department in Jaipur, Rajasthan, IN . This hybrid role allows for a balance between in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, fostering both teamwork and individual focus. The Senior Data Privacy Lawyer will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's global data privacy strategy, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Responsibilities include conducting privacy impact assessments, drafting and reviewing privacy policies and notices, advising on data processing agreements, and managing data breach incidents. You will work closely with product development, engineering, and marketing teams to embed privacy-by-design principles into new products and services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of international data privacy laws and best practices. A Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree and admission to the Bar are required, along with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in data privacy and cybersecurity law, preferably within the technology sector. Experience with cross-border data transfers and privacy compliance for online platforms is essential. Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively advise stakeholders at all levels. You should be adept at navigating complex legal landscapes and translating legal requirements into practical business solutions.
