Senior Event Manager

Overview:

The role reports to the head of events APAC and focuses on achieving event operational goals for IDC syndicated large tech conferences and roundtables, executing on all event operational objectives.

This role requires a motivated, experienced event leader to manage all operational aspects of our highly respected events in the region and to be part of our global event team, that executes 600+ tech conferences annually in every major region of the world

Responsibilities:
• Establish set of operational processes to ensure the successful execution of all events in line with KPI and financial goals
• Lead the event operations team to effective execution of all events in line with customer guarantees
• Partner with Heads of Audience Development, to ensure all events achieve or exceed their financial goals
• Manage all expenses related to events in line with agreed financial budgets
• Lead inventory and event launch strategies for the events
• Work with the head of Events to build a plan for an expanded set of 2026 events to materially grow revenue and profitability

Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of practical experience in event management
• Multiple years of proven experience in project management and team management environments
• Proven track record of budget management
• Excellent communications skills applicable to presenting to high-level clients
• Demonstrated ability to achieve event goals working in a matrix organization
• Clear understanding of technology sectors and the role events play in them
• Problem solving skills
