About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Executive - HR who will build Gajab's people function from the ground up. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping hiring strategies, onboarding top talent, creating a culture of performance and innovation, and driving growth as we scale from a lean founding team to a pan-India organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding:
• Own end-to-end hiring across key functions: product, growth, ops, and support.
• Write clear, compelling job descriptions and run streamlined hiring processes.
• Build Gajab's employer brand via LinkedIn, campus engagement, and regional institute partnerships.
HR Operations & Compliance:
• Design and implement startup-friendly HR policies (attendance, leave, reviews).
• Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws (PF, ESIC, Gratuity, POSH).
• Implement and manage HR tools like Zoho People or similar HRIS platforms.
Culture & Employee Experience:
• Champion a high-performance, ownership-driven culture.
• Lead initiatives around team building, wellness, recognition, and feedback.
• Be a trusted advisor for conflict resolution and employee support.
Strategic Growth Support:
• Partner with founders to forecast hiring needs and design scalable org structures.
• Build structured onboarding & training for fast-paced scaling.
• Develop retention and growth strategies to nurture top performers.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in HR roles, ideally in startups, ecommerce, or fast-scaling environments. Strong recruitment, HR compliance, and policy creation skills are essential. Proficiency in HR tech tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Zoho, Google/Microsoft Workspace) and a solid understanding of Indian labor laws and HR best practices are also required.
