Responsibilities
The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for overseeing the daily and monthly functions of the accounting department
Responsible for general accounting and financial reporting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial statements, such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and statement of cash flows
Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance within accepted accounting policies and principles
Compiles information to be used in the quarterly financial reporting documents
Perform general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Preparation of 10-K and 10-Q disclosures
Preparation of GAAP checklist
Preparation statement of cash flow worksheet
Accounting research as needed including acquisition-related accounting
Other ad hoc analysis
Maintain facility and bed counts in coordination with other departments
Adheres to financial controls over financial reporting
Perform other duties as assigned
Complies with organizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives and maintains organizational and industry policies regarding confidentiality
Communicate clearly and effectively to person(s) receiving services and their family members, guests and other members of the health care team
Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time
Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members
Maintains regular and predictable attendance
Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Compiles information to be used in the quarterly financial reporting documents.
