Job Title: Senior Policy Officer
Working with the Department of the House of Representatives provides an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the effective functioning of the Australian Parliament. The role involves providing technical guidance on HR and Workplace Relations matters, assisting in the development of strategic plans, and interpreting HR policies and procedures.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Providing technical HR and Workplace Relations advice to ensure that all employees are supported and equipped to perform their roles effectively.
Contributing to the development of HR strategies and business improvement programs that enhance workplace productivity and employee engagement.
Interpreting and implementing HR policies and procedures to maintain consistency and fairness across the department.
Key Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to various stakeholders.
Highly developed initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
