Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager, this person will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and problem diagnosis of mobile equipment (scrap metal handlers, forklifts, shears, balers, and trucks) including hydraulic and electrical systems
The successful candidate will be involved in dissembling and reassembling components such as engine and cooling systems, fuel and exhaust systems and ordering the necessary materials and parts that will be required to complete repairs
Conducts maintenance tasks according to company environmental, health and safety practices and policies
Tests equipment for proper performance and ensuring that all work done meets manufacturers specifications and legislated regulations
Diagnoses various equipment faults or malfunctions
Keeps equipment clean, lubricated and maintained
Interprets work orders and technical manuals
Supports company environmental, health, safety, security practices and policies
Writes service reports

Position Overview
Skagit River Steel & Recycling, Inc. under the ABC Recycling umbrella group of companies is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to be based out of our Burlington, WA location.
