The purpose of the Senior HR Advisor role is to coordinate the review and development of policies and procedures ensuring compliance with industrial provisions, updates and business requirements. The role works in partnership with the HR Branch and stakeholders in providing high level advice on HR policy and governance matters.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Coordinate the review of policies and procedures within the TMR HR Governance and policy framework to support the efficient, effective and responsible management of human resources across the department.
• Develop new policies and procedures that drive and support the strategic direction of the department.
• Proactively identify and undertake engagement initiatives across TMR to establish and maintain effective and beneficial partnerships with the business.
• Provide consultative advice to managers and employees on a range human resource policy and governance matters, including the department's HR Management Delegations.
• Develop, maintain and foster strong relationships and partnerships with internal clients and external stakeholders and providers.
• Prepare correspondence and briefings to support the review and approval of HR policies and procedures and matters relating to the HR Governance and Policy Framework.
• Undertake the delivery of project work to support business operations.
• Actively apply knowledge and understanding of contemporary HR practices and industrial frameworks and role model ethical behaviour and decision making.

Requirements of the role
• Experience in the review and development of HR policies and procedures which support the effective and efficient delivery of human resource services.
• Knowledge and understanding in working within industrial and HR governance frameworks and the ability to provide accurate, consistent and timely advice to clients.
• Good communication skills, including the ability to develop and maintain constructive and professional working relationships with stakeholders to support the delivery of business outcomes.
• Capability in undertaking research, analysis, and evaluation to address problems, achieve consensus and identify improvement opportunities in the delivery of business operations.
