Job Description
You are a creative, detail-oriented, and organized Interior Designer & Project Coordinator responsible for leading interior design projects from concept to execution. Your role involves ensuring smooth coordination between clients, vendors, and execution teams to deliver functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces on time and within budget.
In your Interior Design responsibilities, you will develop and present design concepts, mood boards, and 3D visualizations. You will also prepare detailed drawings, floor plans, layouts, elevations, and BOQs, as well as select materials, finishes, furnishings, lighting, and accessories. Working closely with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, and budget constraints is crucial. Additionally, staying updated on industry trends and design innovations is essential.
As a Project Coordinator, you will plan and coordinate design execution from initiation to completion. This includes communicating with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for timely procurement and execution, monitoring site work for adherence to design, quality, and timelines, and maintaining documentation such as project schedules, budgets, and reports. Your role also involves identifying and resolving any issues that may arise during design implementation.
To excel in this role, you should have 7-10 years of experience in interior design and project coordination. Proficiency in software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite is required. A strong understanding of materials, technical drawings, and construction methods is essential. Excellent communication, organizational, and client-handling skills are important, along with the ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Willingness to travel to project sites as required is also necessary.
Preferred skills include experience in commercial or hospitality interiors, knowledge of project management tools and practices, as well as budgeting and vendor negotiation experience.,
