Job Title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Gurgaon, Pune, or Bangalore
Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Gurgaon, Pune, or Bangalore. This role is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in network security and Cisco technologies, particularly Network Access Control (NAC) and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting complex network solutions while contributing to both project-based initiatives and operational support. Key Responsibilities:
• Network Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain secure network architectures with a focus on Cisco technologies, emphasizing Cisco ISE and Network Access Control (NAC).
• High-Level Support: Provide expert-level (L3) troubleshooting and resolution for high-impact network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Project Leadership: Lead network-related projects from planning through execution, ensuring successful delivery within scope and timeline.
• Operational Duties: Support day-to-day network operations, including monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of network infrastructure.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, technical reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align network security and performance with organizational goals.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical expertise to junior team members as needed.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certification/Experience: CCIE certification or equivalent practical experience in networking.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in networking, with a strong emphasis on network security.
• Cisco Expertise: Proven practical experience with Cisco ISE and NAC implementations, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of core networking concepts, such as routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Communication Skills: Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Documentation Skills: Proficiency in creating professional network diagrams, technical documentation, and presentations.
• Work Flexibility: Willingness to work US east-coast-centric hours and availability for occasional weekend work (approximately 25% of the time) to support scheduled changes.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Campus Background: Experience designing and managing large-scale enterprise networks, such as those in campus environments, is highly advantageous.
• Wireless Expertise: Advanced knowledge of wireless network design, security, and management (e.g., Cisco wireless controllers and access points) is a plus.
• Additional Cisco Knowledge: Familiarity with other Cisco security products, such as Firepower or Stealthwatch.
• Automation Skills: Exposure to network automation tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible).
Work Hours: The role operates on a schedule aligned with US east-coast time zones, requiring flexibility to accommodate late hours from India. Occasional weekend work (approximately 25%) is expected to support network changes and maintenance activities.
