Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for database installations, capacity planning, performance optimization, and supporting an ERP upgrade project
Install and configure Oracle Database 1+c, Oracle RAC, and Golden Gate to establish a new database tier
Perform advanced performance tuning on complex processes to optimize system efficiency
Manage and support multi-terabyte databases with heavy transaction volumes
Oversee backup, recovery, monitoring, troubleshooting, and database tuning
Collaborate with project teams to ensure database stability and assist in upgrade activities
Implement database security policies and support disaster recovery procedures
Work with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) for documentation and reporting
Utilize MS Teams and Channel communication for collaboration in a remote work environment
Work outside standard business hours as needed for system maintenance and project requirements

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to support a high-volume, multi-terabyte database environment. This role requires expertise in Oracle Database 12c or higher, Oracle RAC, Golden Gate, SQL, and advanced performance tuning. The candidate will be responsible for database installations, capacity planning, performance optimization, and supporting an ERP upgrade project.
Responsibilities:
• Install and configure Oracle Database 1+c, Oracle RAC, and Golden Gate to establish a new database tier.
• Perform advanced performance tuning on complex processes to optimize system efficiency.
• Manage and support multi-terabyte databases with heavy transaction volumes.
• Oversee backup, recovery, monitoring, troubleshooting, and database tuning.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in public sector organizations (Federal, State, or Local Government).
• Experience with SharePoint and Jira.
• Familiarity with Scrum framework for project collaboration.
